Shirley (Patsy) Lueker Obituary

Shirley Patricia (Patsy) Lueker, 86, passed away on September 3, 2021 at Robings Manor. Patsy was born on June 4, 1935 in Fieldon, Illinois to Clarence and Anna (Richey) Osburn. She married Leslie Gordon Lueker on July 2, 1955 at Otterville Baptist Church. Gordon went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2019. She graduated from Jersey Community High School in 1953 and later retired in 1980 from Owens Illinois in Alton, Illinois. Patsy enjoyed the simple life, caring for her family, taking care of her home, and tending her flower and vegetable gardens. She and Gordon enjoyed traveling, especially their trips to Branson, Mo. Patsy helped in various areas of her church, Otterville Baptist, and held dear the many friends she had there. Patsy showed her love to her family and others by preparing delicious meals. She was best known for her coconut cream and pecan pies.

Patsy is survived by her son: Gary W. Lueker (Renae) of Avon, IN; three grandchildren: Gary Nathan Lueker (Melissa) of Andalusia, IL, Erica R. Simpson (Todd) of Fayetteville, AR, and Nicholas W. Lueker of Avon, IN; six great-grandchildren: Elijah, Enoch, Elias, and Grace Lueker, Arwen and Noah Simpson; three sisters: Elizabeth Henchel of Alton, IL, Sharon Fleming (Bill) of Hot Springs, AR, and Phyllis Marshall (Lloyd) of Grafton, IL, and many nieces and nephews. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son: Leslie L. Lueker.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 9:30am-11:30am at Alexander Funeral Home. A funeral will follow at 11:30am on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Alexander Funeral Home. The funeral will be officiated by Bill Fleming and Nathan Lueker. Burial will be at the Noble Cemetery in Otterville, IL and memorials may be made to the Otterville Baptist Church.
