Neva "Faye" Watkins

Neva “Faye” Watkins, 91, passed away on November 20, 2021 at her home. She was born on December 12, 1929 to George & Nellie (Day) Hayes in Scott County, Illinois. She married George J. Watkins on November 2, 1947 in Winchester, Illinois. Faye and George were together for 63 years until his death on August 11, 2011. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Westlake Country Club, Craft Ladies, and volunteered at Jersey Community Hospital. Faye is survived by her children: Steve and Vicki Watkins of Jerseyville; Shon Duncan of St. Charles, Janet & Greg Albrecht of Morton; her grandchildren: Chris Duncan, Jim Watkins, Mindy Albrecht-Kendrick, Tony Duncan, Kari Watkins-Ditimus, Bridget Albrecht-Joos, Dana Albrecht, Andrew Albrecht, Jake Watkins, Ethan Watkins, Mitch Watkins, Emily Watkins-Allgood; her 22 great-grandchildren and her 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law: Jim Duncan, and siblings: Rose Murphy, Carl Hayes, and Fern Zortman. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at Alexander Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Taylor will be officiating the service and burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to JCH Resale Shop.
