Obituary
Michael J. Holmes, 27, passed away on August 13, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 10, 1994 to Billy J. Holmes, Jr. & Kelly L. (Roberts) Holmes in Jerseyville. He loved anything to do with wheels, especially BMX bikes, motocross, and dirt bike riding with his dad. He would love to watch grandpa do burnouts on his Harley. Michael loved his family and was very proud of his nephews. He loved his sisters more than anything and enjoyed aggravating them. Michael is survived by his parents; sisters: Caitlynn (Benny) Luz of Troy, Mo. and Cortney Holmes of Jerseyville; nephews: Benny Joe Luz and Liam Christopher Luz “Uncle Mikey loves you”; grandparents: Billy J. & Jane Holmes of Jerseyville and Mike and Sandra Camden of Carrollton; aunts and uncles: Christy Holmes, Lori & Kerry Mossman, Sissy Camden & Dale Goewey; and several loving cousins, extended family, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Cremation took place and a memorial service may be held at a later date.
