Mabel A. Bell

Mabel A. Bell, 86, passed away on October 31, 2021 at Jerseyville Manor. She was born on April 2, 1935 in Jerseyville to George & Mabel (Schultz) Wisdom. She was married to Raymond Bell for 42 years until his death on November 30, 1993. They were married on February 28, 1951 in Jerseyville. Mabel was a homemaker and a member of Women of the Moose. She is survived by her children: Cynthia Edwards of Bethalto and Rebecca (Dale) Edwards of Shipman; her grandchildren: April, Sara, Seth, Chase, Holly, Shayne, Blake, and Haley; and her great-grandchildren: Paisley, Presley, one on the way, Cooper, Ace, Talynn, and Lincoln. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Raymond Edward Bell, granddaughter: Morgan, and brothers: Clayton Wisdom, George Ray (Hazel) Wisdom, and Dale (Norma) Wisdom. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 10:00 am -12:00 (noon) at Alexander Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 12:00 (noon) at Alexander Funeral Home. Rev. Ray Robinson will be officiating the service and burial will take place at Summerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Cancer Society.
