Katherine L. Fessler

Katherine Louise Fessler, age 74 passed away after a brief illness on September 22, 2022 in Peoria, Illinois. “Kathy” was born in the Alton Memorial Hospital on October 18, 1947. She spent 40 years as an elementary school teacher in Illinois, Missouri, and Texas, retiring in 2009. Kathy attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria and was very active with the Grace Quilters, a group of 40 ladies serving the Lord with sewing activities for various service projects, personal devotions, prayer and praise of our Lord Jesus Christ. She is survived by her brother: Mark L. (M. Denise) Fessler of Hampshire, IL.; her nephew and niece: James A. (Lauren) Fessler of Chicago and Rebecca L. Fessler; and great-nieces: Maeve and Iris of Chicago. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents: Alfred Robert & Kathryn Marie (Lueking) Fessler, brother: George Robert Fessler, sister: Mary Martha (Fessler) Holgate, and nephew: Chris Carter. A visitation will be held on September 27, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Home in Jerseyville. A small graveside service will be held the following day on September 28, 2022 at the Bunker Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
