Annabelle Fern Hunt, formerly of Shipman, IL passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 63 years, J.E. Hunt, her parents, Orlie and Lucille Bouillon, and her brothers, Melvin and Robert Bouillon. Annabelle is survived by her children, Karen Thaxton (Randy) of Meadville, PA and Stan Hunt (Judy) of Brighton, IL; her three grandchildren, Dana Jordan, Ashley Hedge, and Noah Hunt; and her seven great grandchildren. Annabelle enjoyed being a stay-at-home wife and mother, dedicating her life to supporting her husband and training her children to serve Christ with their life. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Piasa. One of Annabelle’s greatest strengths was being content with, and thankful for, what she had. It was hard to buy her a birthday or Christmas gift because she never seemed to want anything. She enjoyed living a very simple life and was a great example to her children to be thankful for little things. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Shipman Cemetery. The family has asked that, if you so desire, please make a donation to Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Piasa in honor of Annabelle.
